This I feel like relates to me becuase I really would like to be a volunteer in the future.  I would like to volunteer for a place that is surrounded by little kids.  I love to be around them and I would love to help them out or even teach them stuff they didn’t.  I wouldn’t mind going to a preschool or even place for foster children.  I also would like to volunteer at an old folks home or nursing home.  I like to sit with elderly people and listen to the stories of their life.  I know how much it means to them to have someone to talk to and someone that will listen to them.

My sister is my hero by far. She is an amazing person and wouldn’t be mean to anyone. My sister is extremely smart and motivated. When she has something mean to say, she just keeps it to herself knowing that it would hurt someone if they heard it. She has been through a lot but she still just keeps her head up and looks at it as if the glass is half full. She is positive and always there for you and she doesn’t let you down. Even when the sun isn’t out she still acts as if it is and doesn’t let it bring her down. She is so happy and when you are having bad day she is the one that makes it all better. I ask her for things and I borrow her stuff and she never says no. I don’t give her enough credit and thanks for what she has done for me. She takes me places, gives me stuff, and buys me things when I run out of money. My sister is an amazing woman that I should treat better and be nicer to.

Bringing Us Together

The different shades of purple in a sunset can brighten anyones day and make them that much happier just by looking at it.

The taste of purple grapes on a hot summer day can make you feel so good. Plus they are delicious and they are alot better than red and green ones.

The shades of purple are so beautiful in the flowers and when you look at them they seem to be relaxing.

An animal that I would like to see in the wild rather than the zoo would be a giraffe. I like how giraffes are so unique and different from all the other animals. It’s cool how they have super long necks and red and white and brown colors that make shapes. The baby giraffes are especially cute. I could travel all over the world to see them and I could see the different cultures. I think it would be so awesome if I could see one in real life.

I thought that Earth hour was pretty good but it would have been better and more successful if the whole World would have participated.  I think Earth Day is okay but I don’t really see the point in it.  I guess it’s just to celebrate planet earth so thats cool.  Some people get really intense with Earth Day but it just doesn’t really phase me.  But I am happy that we have an Earth or else we probably wouldn’t be here.

“Hey Molls can I wear your jeans today?” I asked my sister, trying to sound as sweet as possible.

“Oh my gosh Emma, you ask me everday. Why can’t you just wear your own?” My sister asked with a frustrated look and attitude.

In a begging way I answered, “I’m sorry, but mine are in the laundry.”

Eventually she said yes. That’s when I finally realized that she does so much for me. She takes me to school usually, lets me wear her clothes, and much more. So I started to feel guilty and sorry for her about the way I treated her.

I thought about that morning later that day when I was bored in one of my classes, and I started to write a letter to her about how I really do appreciate what she does for me. So the next the morning, I set it on her desk when she was sleeping.

I was at school when I got a call from her and she said to me, “Oh Em your so sweet. That just made my day, thanks so much!”

So the rest of the day I was happy that I made my sisters day. It really showed my appreciation for her and all that she does for me.

I listened to “Speak” by Laurie Halse Anderson.  It was a very descritptive and interesting book talk.  My attention was grabbed by the music in the background and the conversation from the story that was spoken about.  I really liked the part where they read parts from the book, right away it captured my attention and made me want to listen to it again.  The two people that did this book talk did a great job on picking the part of the story to read to its listeners.  The part that they read was grabbing and interesting to me.  I thought that the people that did this did a good job and it was one of my favorites!  I strongly reccomend this book talk to anyone who would be interested in this, you will enjoy it.
